Delete your account
ListThisMeal · Last updated 6 October 2026
Only want to remove part of your data? You can keep your account — see Delete some of your data.
This cannot be undone. Once deleted, your account and its data cannot be recovered or restored. Your account will be permanently deleted and you will no longer be able to sign in.
Important. If you are paying for Pro or Group, deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Google Play, so cancel your subscription there first to avoid future charges.
Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app (fastest)
- Open ListThisMeal and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Type
DELETE MY ACCOUNTto confirm.
The account and its data are removed straight away and you are signed out.
No longer have the app installed? Option 2 below needs no app at all. Or install ListThisMeal again from listthismeal.com, sign in and follow the same steps.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, send us a request. We answer within 30 days and usually much sooner. We will reply to the address you give here, and we may need to confirm it is yours before we delete anything.
This opens your email app with the request filled in. If nothing happens, email support@dcr8ives.com with the subject “Delete my ListThisMeal account”.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to the account:
- Your profile — email, username, full name, bio, photo, country and language
- Your recipes, photos, steps and ingredient lists
- Your shopping lists, what you have at home, and your meal plans
- Your collections, bookmarks and saved recipes
- Your health conditions, allergies, diets and dislikes
- Your follows and followers, and your notifications
- Your referral code and referral history
- Your group membership — and, if you own a group, the group itself, with its members returned to their own plans
- Your push notification tokens, so the device stops receiving anything
- Any pending group invitation addressed to your email
What is kept, and why
- Reports you filed about other people's content are kept for moderation, with your identity removed, so that deleting an account cannot erase a moderation record.
- Emails you sent to support stay in our support mailbox until they are three years old.
- Server logs (IP address, timestamp) age out on our hosting providers' own schedules.
- Purchase records held by Google Play or Apple are theirs, not ours — ask the store to remove them.
Delete some of your data and keep your account
You do not have to delete your ListThisMeal account to remove something from it. Most of it you can delete yourself in the app, and it goes as soon as you confirm. Anything you cannot reach, we will delete for you.
Your recipes and collections
- A recipe, with its steps, ingredients and photo: go to Profile → My recipes, press and hold the recipe, and tap Delete. Or open it, tap the pencil, and tap the bin beside Save. Anywhere it was saved or planned goes with it.
- Only a recipe's photo: open the recipe, tap the pencil, tap the × on the photo, then Save.
- A collection: go to Profile → Collections, press and hold it, and tap Delete. The recipes in it are not touched. To remove only its cover photo, press and hold it, tap Rename, tap the × on the cover, then Save changes.
- A saved recipe: go to Profile → Saved, press and hold it, and tap Remove bookmark.
Your shopping list and meal plans
- An item you typed in: press and hold it on your list and tap Delete.
- The ingredients a recipe or a meal plan added: switch the list to Recipe or Plan, press and hold the heading, and tap Remove.
- Ticked items, or the whole list: tap the clear icon at the top of the list.
- What you already have at home: tap the “at home” amount on an item, then Remove.
- A planned meal (Pro and Group): in the Planner, tap the meal — in Month, tap its day first — then Remove this meal. CLEAR DAY empties a whole day.
- A meal of the day, with everything planned in it (Pro and Group): go to Profile → Settings → Planner settings, tap Remove meal beside it, and save.
What you eat and your health
All of these are under Profile → Diet & Health.
- Allergies and ingredients you dislike: open Allergies or Dislikes, tap each one to remove it, then tap Done.
- Health considerations, including pregnancy and religious dietary rules such as halal and kosher: untick them and tap Save.
- Your diet: under How do you eat, tap your diet to turn it off and tap Save. On the free plan, tap Clear my diet, then Save.
- Daily calorie and nutrient targets (Pro and Group): switch each target off and tap Save.
Your profile, the people you follow, and your devices
- Your bio: go to Profile → Edit profile → Bio, delete the text and tap Save, then tap ✓ at the top.
- Someone you follow: on your Profile, tap the number of people you follow, tap Following beside the person, then Unfollow.
- A request to follow you: on your Profile, tap the number of followers and tap × (Decline) beside the request.
- Someone who follows you: there is no button to remove a follower, but blocking them removes the follow in both directions. Open their profile, tap the three dots (More options), then Block. Unblocking them later does not bring the follow back.
- People you blocked: go to Profile → Settings → Blocked users and tap Unblock.
- Your place in a group: find your group on your Profile and tap Leave group.
- Another phone signed in to your account: go to Profile → Settings → Your devices, tap it, then Remove. That phone is signed out.
Anything else: ask us
For anything not on this list — or if your Pro or Group plan has ended and the Planner or your daily targets are locked — email support@dcr8ives.com with the subject “Delete some of my ListThisMeal data” and tell us what to delete. We answer within 30 days and usually much sooner, and we may need to confirm the account is yours.
What stays until you delete your account
- Your email address, full name, username, country, profile photo and app language can be changed but not removed in the app: your email is how you sign in, and your name and username are how other people find you. Ask us if you want your photo removed.
- Your plan — free, Pro or Group — with its trial and renewal dates and the reference Google Play gives your purchase, so you keep what you paid for.
- That you planned or shopped somebody's recipe. Removing the meal or the items does not remove the record, or your name on that recipe's Planners or Shoppers list. The notification its creator got when you saved or planned it stays with them too.
- Your notifications. The app marks them read; it does not delete them.
- Your referral code, the addresses you invited, and your referral history. A group invitation you cancel keeps the address you typed until the group is deleted.
- Reports you filed are kept for moderation.
- Your settings, such as a private account and which notifications you get; when you last opened the app; and, on the free plan, a daily count of the recipes you opened, which the daily limit needs.
- Help and support conversations, including anything you sent us by email, are deleted once they are three years old — sooner if you ask.
- Photos you delete leave our storage in a weekly clean-up.
- Server logs (IP address, timestamp) age out on our hosting providers' own schedules.
- Settings kept only on your phone — units, servings, text size and appearance — go when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
