This page explains the health information ListThisMeal keeps about you, and what you can do about it. It sits beside our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else, and it is written for everyone — including residents of Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, whose laws ask for a page like this one.
1. What health information we keep
Only what you choose to tell the app, and only these:
- Food allergies and ingredients you avoid because of them.
- Health conditions and food rules you pick from the app's list — for example a food intolerance, coeliac disease, pregnancy, or a religious rule such as halal or kosher, which can say something about your beliefs as well as your health.
- How you eat — a diet such as vegetarian or vegan.
- Daily targets you set for calories, sodium, protein or carbohydrate.
We do not keep medical records, test results, prescriptions, a precise location, or anything from a fitness device. Every one of these questions can be skipped.
2. Where it comes from
From you, in the app: the questions while you set up your account, the Diet & Health page under Profile, and the meal planner's setup. Nowhere else.
3. Why we keep it
For one purpose: so the app hides or flags recipes you cannot or will not eat, and so the meal planner can count your day against your targets. It is never used for advertising, never used to decide what an ad shows you, and never used to make any decision about you beyond which recipes the app shows.
4. Your consent
Before the first allergy, health condition or diet is saved, the app asks for your consent on a screen of its own, with its own “I agree” button. If you choose “Not now”, nothing is saved. We record that you agreed, when, and to which wording, so we can show it. If the wording changes in a way that matters, the app asks again.
To withdraw your consent, clear the answers on Profile → Diet & Health, or delete your account. Either takes effect at once.
5. Who receives it
- We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers, insurers, data brokers, or anyone else for their own use.
- Supabase, our database host (Singapore), stores it for us and may not use it for anything else.
- It is not sent to Google's ad service, to OpenAI (which powers the help assistant and the check on what people post), or to any other service named in the Privacy Policy.
- It is never shown to other people, including the members of a Group plan. A recipe's own allergy labels are about the recipe, not about you.
- We would disclose it only where a law requires us to, and we would tell you unless that law forbids it.
6. Seeing it, changing it, deleting it
- See and change it at any time on Profile → Diet & Health.
- Delete it by clearing each answer there, or delete your whole account in the app or at listthismeal.com/delete-account. Deletion is immediate; we keep no backup to restore it from.
- Ask us for a copy, or for a list of anyone we have shared it with, by writing to the address below. We answer within 30 days, free of charge. If we turn a request down, we say why, and you may ask us to look again by replying to that answer; if we still refuse, you may complain to your state's attorney general.
